“For the past 10 years Dagenham & Redbridge FC have held a highly successful and award-winning Daggers Against Racism Day.

In the intervening 10 years, whilst we recognise that racism still exists in football and society in general, we also recognise that the community that we live and work in, Barking & Dagenham, has become a much more diverse and tolerant society.

With this in mind, and as we embark on a new decade, we have decided to celebrate our differences and unite around the game we all love.

Our Vanarama National League game on the 22nd February has therefore been designated as our very first “Daggers Celebrate Diversity Day” when we hope to showcase the many good things that are happening in our borough.

With the generous support of the BD Group we will again be able to offer ridiculously cheap admission prices and there will still be many things to do around the stadium before the game.

We therefore invite all sections of the community to come and experience live football and show that the Daggers welcome everyone.

So come on down to the Chigwell Construction Stadium on Saturday 22nd February”.
